App and podcast feeds service disruption

From 9:27-9:40am PDT, we experienced a service disruption that affected mobile apps, TV apps, and podcast feeds. During the peak of the disruption, end users could not load most content from these services.

The issue manifested while we were testing a new and previously deployed method of improving app launch times. Upon seeing the resultant issue, we quickly restored service and have since discovered the cause and begun work to permanently rectify it.
